In the first half of 2023, Casper Westhausen took part in this series and was paired with the German post-punk rock band Die Nerven, consisting of Julian Knoth, Max Rieger, and Kevin Kuhn.
Together with the creative agency Elastique. they came up with visual concepts for three tracks: "Der Erde Gleich," "Frei," and a cover of Motorhead's "Ace of Spades."
The visuals created were a mix of 3D elements, pre-rendered videos, and procedural elements, all coded and real-time rendered with TouchDesigner.
COLLIDE at Arts Playground. At Reeperbahn Festival 23, the collaborative work was showcased to festival attendees.
It was presented in a unique setting: a refurbished shipping container transformed into an immersive exhibition space,
displayed across a 24-section screen installation created by the graphic design studio Bareis + Nicolaus, in collaboration with the audiovisual artist duo Lichtgestalten.
As part of the exhibition, Westhausen delivered a talk titled “Coding Digital Scenography.” During this presentation,
he shared insights into the creative process behind the exhibited artworks, as well as his reflections on bridging digital
productions with physical spaces.
